Diablo 3 Debut Teaser

Diablo 3 Debut Teaser

Two decades have passed since the demonic denizens, Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal, wandered the world of Sanctuary in a vicious rampage to shackle humanity into unholy slavery. Yet for those who battled the Prime Evils directly, the memory fades slowly and the wounds of the soul still burn.

When Deckard Cain returns to the ruins of Tristram's Cathedral seeking clues to new stirrings of evil, a comet from the heavens strikes the very ground where Diablo once entered the world. The comet carries a dark omen in its fiery being and it calls the heroes of Sanctuary to defend the mortal world against the rising powers of the Burning Hells – and even the failing luminaries of the High Heavens itself.

Super Street Fighter II Ken vs. Ryu Beta Gameplay

Super Street Fighter II Ken vs. Ryu Beta Gameplay

First-ever footage from the upcoming remix of your favorite 2D fighter.

So the long-awaited Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 is out TODAY on Xbox Live. The game is a lot of old-school run+gun fun, and you can see the latest Commando 3 screens from CAPTIVATE08, watch some video here, and fall in love all over again.

That much is simple, but unfortunately there’s also a bit of confusion swirling around the details about the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Beta (that you get free!). Let me try and clear this up.

To play the SSF2T HD Remix Beta, here’s what you do:

1) Buy Commando 3 on XBL. Play it, love it.

2) In the Commando 3 menu, you’ll notice an option for “Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Beta” (insert long name joke here). If you hit that option, you’ll get an error. Why is this? Because the SSF2T HD Remix Beta isn’t live until June 25th.

3) If you hit the Beta menu option on or after June 25th, 2008, you’ll be taken to an XBL blade offering to let you download the new SSF2T HD Remix Beta.

4) Download the Beta, and then you can find it your “Games Library” under “Demos.”

5) Start it up and commence dragon-punchery.

And also, just to be clear, the SSF2T HD Remix Beta does not come with Commando 3 on PSN. Unfortunately the Beta is only available with Commando 3 on XBox Live, although the network improvements that we make post-Beta will improve the final, full product on XBL and PSN alike.

Every episode will close with a nail-biting cliff-hanger ending to rattle players’ nerves, and if the player is leaving the game a video teaser of the next episode will play to leave them wanting more.

Alone in the Dark will provide a complete next-generation, action packed experience within a highly detailed, free roaming environment, featuring a mixture of real-time physics and full environmental interaction. The game will mark a new beginning for the Alone in the Dark series.

Lord of the Rings: Conquest Exclusive Debut Trailer

Lord of the Rings: Conquest Exclusive Debut Trailer

Middle Earth has become a battlefront.

The Lord of the Rings: Conquest is the upcoming video game developed by Pandemic Studios and published by Electronic Arts. It is based on The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, and uses a similar style to the Star Wars: Battlefront games. The game allows the player to play as both the forces of good and evil, but unlike The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth, the latter option is based around Sauron stopping the One Ring from being destroyed and fighting back.

Pandemic was aided by Weta Digital in developing the game. They provided many of their digital models, including the Fell beasts. Pandemic are also negotiating to use elements that were cut from the films, and have taken inspiration from the novel, such as a level based around Balin's conquest of Moria. Some inspiration was less direct: the heroes decide not to attack Minas Morgul, so a level was based around conquering that city as if they did. The game will use Howard Shore's score to the films.

There will be both a Good and a Evil campaign, varying greatly in storyline. The Good Campaign begins at the Battle of the Last Alliance as a training stage , and continues with loosely-based settings from the films, such as the Battle of Isengard as an Ent, Gandalf fighting Saruman at the Tower of Isengard, battling the Balrog in the Mines of Moria, battling the Nazgûl as Faramir while protecting Frodo, and fighting inside Minas Morgul. The Evil Campaign begins immediately in an alternate universe, where the Nazgûl have just killed Frodo and stopped him from destroying the One Ring. Players will have the chance to fight as Oliphaunts at Minas Tirith, as Trolls at Helm's Deep, as the Balrog, as the Nazgûl against Aragorn at Weathertop, against the Shire, and lastly, as Sauron himself against Rivendell.
